In order for human consciousness to evolve we must create the conditions, nation by nation, that promote a shift from belief-based decision-making to values-based decision-making.
At a community and national level beliefs separate and values unite.
When people primarily make decisions based on their beliefs, they find it almost impossible to come to agreements with people that have opposing beliefs.
When people primarily make decisions based on their values, they come to agreement much more quickly because they are operating from the level of their shared humanity.
