Measuring People's Strengths

If you are going to play to people’s strengths, you will need to know what they are.

There are several ways of tackling this. You can ask people directly; you can ask them to ask the people they know (people in your team) what they appreciate and what unique talents they bring to the team, or you can take a strength finder survey, such as Gallup’s StrengthFinder programme.

What is important is that you, as the leader of your team are fully aware of your team members’ talents and try to align their day to day work with what they do best.
