It is important that you understand the difference between teaching and coaching when you are coaching for professional evolution.
If someone has done the required professional training, and you are skilled in that domain, your job as a coach is to help them remember or figure out for themselves what to do by taking them back to first principles.
If however, they have not had the requisite training, then you may need to shift from coaching mode to teaching mode.
Be aware that this is what you are doing. Do not get the two roles confused or you will find yourself disempowering people by telling them what to do.
